Jordan’s King Abdullah II stressed the importance of focusing on witness protection to encourage Jordanians to report any suspicions of corruption, at a time when the government launched a strategy to reduce the risks of natural disasters extending to 2030.
King Abdullah II, while receiving the annual report of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission for the past year 2021 from its Chairman Muhannad Hijazi, stressed the need to continue making efforts to develop the Commission’s work, improve its monitoring tools, review international reports, and address any observations to improve Jordan’s classification.
Hegazy indicated that about 142 million Jordanian dinars were recovered from the funds resulting from acts of corruption, directly or indirectly.
