Local Jordanian companies specializing in the food industry will participate in the international food fair, which will be held on Sunday in New York City.
“The participation of Jordan in the three-day exhibition is the ninth and represents the largest food and beverage event in North America and attracts exhibitors and visitors from around the world,” said Omar Abu Washah, chairman of the Jordanian Exporters Association.
“The participation in the exhibition is part of the plans and programs of the association to support and enable the industry to enter new markets,” said Abu Washah, noting that participation in the exhibition is the most important means to market and promote national products.
He pointed out that seven companies working in the field of Arab sweets, coffee, dates, spices and thyme participate in the Jordanian pavilion in the events of the exhibition, as well as the allocation of space within the wing to promote and market the products of the Dead Sea.
The President of the Association said that the US market is considered one of the most promising markets for national exports. Many national products have an opportunity to enter this market and meet its needs in light of a free trade agreement signed between the two countries. He called on Jordanian companies to enhance their participation in the exhibition through networking and pursuit.
