Abu Dhabi for the Arabic Language organizes the world’s largest floating book fair, May 18th

ABU DHABI, April 19: The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Ports, will be organizing in conjunction with the docking of the “Logos Hope”, the world’s largest floating book fair, in Abu Dhabi from May 18 to June 4, 2023, after its voyage. The “Floating Book Fair – Logos Hope” receives its visitors in conjunction with the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2023, by displaying nearly 5,000 titles covering a wide range of cultural fields, including science, sports, arts, medicine, dictionaries, languages and many others.

The Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language is participating in the exhibition with an agenda full of activities, including a group of educational and creative workshops, as well as a number of discussion sessions for books and artistic and musical events directed to various segments of society, which are presented by elite specialists in various fields.

His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Tamim, President of the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, affirmed the center’s commitment to supporting all cultural events in the country, which promote concepts of innovation and renewal in the mechanisms of spreading culture and stimulating reading, noting that the “Logos Hope Exhibition” constitutes an innovative global cultural platform that brings together civilizations and cultures. The world in one place with its rich diversity.

For his part, Sebastien Moncayo, project manager of the “Logos Hope Fair” project in Abu Dhabi, said: The visit of the “Logos Hope Fair” to the UAE coincides with the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair. He thanked the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi for inviting the project to be part of this prominent cultural event.

It is noteworthy that the “Logos Hope” ship annually receives about one million visitors. Since its establishment in 2009, the ship has visited more than 150 countries around the world. Since its launch to date, the number of its visitors has reached 49 million people, and the ship’s crew includes volunteer employees from 60 different nationalities; The ship’s teams travel to the surrounding areas to visit hospitals and schools, and provide community assistance and care at each port.
