Walk the Walk

In the coming days, students will finish the academic year 2022-2023, and all eyes will be on the results to congratulate the students on their success. And life continues when everyone realizes that the stage of study and learning has not ended, and the success that has been blessed is only a successful step towards achieving a great goal. Parents should continue to support the future generation with continuous guidance to continue to persevere in hard work. There are many success stories in the UAE society under the wise leadership that supports and stimulates opportunities for success for all segments of society. Among the success stories that I followed the chapters of its development in the past few years, is the success story of an Emirati youth who set the standard for his success and excellence, coupled with the success of a number of graduates of local universities in the Emirates who specialize in information systems.

Muhammad Al-Harasousi, the founder of the “Cybergate” company specialized in cybersecurity, risked his future, his knowledge, and his money to achieve a goal that I thought was impossible, and I would not have imagined that he would succeed without his perseverance and determination to succeed. His company was a mini-academy containing a number of university graduates in the field of information systems. Muhammad Al-Haroussi, along with a group of specialists in the field of cybersecurity, qualifies new graduates to supply the local market with Emirati expertise and competencies in this vital field. The measure of success of the “Cybergate” company was previously measured by the number of new graduates, then the measure of success developed to be measured by the number of governmental and semi-governmental agencies in the Emirates that rush to contract with graduates of “Cybergate”. Yesterday, Mohammed Al-Haroussi inaugurated the “Cybergate” Academy at Abu Dhabi Polytechnic University, in the presence of His Excellency Mohammed Hamad Al-Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Cybersecurity Council, who stressed the importance of developing national cadres in the field of cybersecurity, which enhances the vision of the UAE to achieve a secure digital transformation. The opening of the academy was attended by a number of local universities and colleges in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and their faces seemed happy and joyful to congratulate one of the sons of the Emirates who succeeded in translating a vision and a dream into a reality that he is proud of.

I chose the success story of Mohammed Al-Haroussi with the “Cyberjet” company in this article in order to motivate myself and my dear readers to always be sure that success is the fruit of continuous work, and the UAE will always remain a supportive leadership and people to achieve ambition. As for the impossible, it is an imaginary obstacle that we put in front of us out of laziness and complacency. Cyber security may be added to the educational curriculum in the near future, who knows. Many branches of the “Cybergate” Academy may branch out in prestigious universities inside and outside the country.
