The Abu Dhabi Global Market Academy (ADX), in collaboration with the Center for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CFTE) in London, launched a new program entitled “ Artificial Intelligence in Finance ” at the Academy of Financial Technology (Fintec) affiliated to the Academy at the Abu Dhabi Financial Technology Festival “ Vintec Abu Dhabi ” 2019.
The new program aims to increase knowledge of AI and understand its impact on the financial services and financial services sector locally and globally.
A partnership was signed in the presence of His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali Mohammed Al Sayegh, Minister of State for the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Global Market and Khalid Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Global Market Academy, by Hamad Al Mazrouei, Director General of the Academy, and Hai Nguyen Trio, one of the founders of the Center. The AI Program in Finance aims to prepare professionals, institutions and manpower to change the map of the financial sector that is changing as a result of artificial intelligence. From understanding the techniques of artificial intelligence to its applications in finance and from practical considerations to implementation in projects.
The comprehensive AI financing program will stimulate innovation in all sectors of the industry and enhance the status of Abu Dhabi’s leading financial services in the Middle East region and globally.
According to PricewaterhouseCoopers, the finance sector is likely to undergo an AI revolution in the Middle East and Africa and expects to spend 25% ($ 28.3 million) of the expected AI investments in 2021 on developing AI solutions. The new partnership and the program combine with the ongoing efforts of the Abu Dhabi Global Market Academy and its commitment to provide sustainable human capital with high skills and experience in supporting the financial sector and economy in Abu Dhabi.
The UAE Government’s ‘Artificial Intelligence’ strategy focuses on future services, sectors and infrastructure projects.
The Abu Dhabi Global Market Academy and the Center for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CFTE) plan to capitalize on this fantastic opportunity and look forward to collaborating on the AI program in finance.
