More than 1 million passengers on Saudi Railways during 2018

The number of passengers on daily flights in 2018 has exceeded the number of passengers between Riyadh, Dammam, Hofuf and Abqaiq with a total of 1.73 million passengers.
The company reported that the increase amounted to about 250 thousand passengers in 2018 compared to 2017 with a growth rate of 16.85%, while railways achieved a record high in the number of passengers traveling on trains daily between their stations on 29 November 2018, where 7,632 passengers moved past the previous number Of 7,426 passengers registered on 29 March 2018 and compared to the average daily passenger number of about 4700 passengers.
Railways expects continued growth in the number of passengers traveling during the current year 2019 at the same rate in 2018 driven by the high demand for passenger services by rail between Riyadh, Dammam, Hofuf and Abqaiq.
