The Office of Food Security announced the launch of the “electronic food research” platform open through its official website, which is the first of its kind in the region and aims to create a knowledge base for all scientific and applied research carried out in the country in the field of food security, and that In conjunction with the launch of the Emirates Innovation Month 2020, which is organized under the slogan “The Emirates innovate to prepare for its fifty”.
The platform of “electronic food research” allows introducing individuals and various entities to the latest results of research and development efforts and the application of modern technologies in the field of food security, as well as encouraging investment in sustainable food production mechanisms to ensure the prosperity of current and future generations.
The platform aims to meet the needs of the various authorities related to the food security file by providing data and information on all components of food security, including sustainable food systems for the entire value chain … The platform also plays an important role in organizing the research and development process and aligning it with the National Food Security Strategy.
Hir Excellency Mariam bint Muhammad Saeed Hareb Al-Muhairi, Minister of State responsible for the file of food security, said: “Through our efforts in the Office of Food Security, we seek to achieve the goals of the National Food Security Strategy. In order to achieve this goal, we have launched the electronic food research platform to be a reference for researchers, individuals and scientific research institutions to develop mechanisms and solutions for food security within the country based on modern technology and advanced technologies, and create a comprehensive national research base in the field of Production and management of food and the whole chain of the nutritional value on the land of the UAE. “
