The Jordanian government and its Italian counterpart today signed a framework agreement for development cooperation, including the establishment of a three-year aid program in which sectoral priorities, programs and projects are set.
Jordan’s Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Emad Fakhouri, said in an official statement that the agreement aims to support Jordanian national strategies and plans and raise the efficiency of Italian aid to Jordan in line with international principles and obligations arising from Italy’s membership in the European Union.
For his part, the Italian ambassador in Amman, Giovanni Prozae, praised the efforts exerted by Jordan to host the refugees in these difficult circumstances, stressing the strong partnership between the two countries.
