The Department of Statistics and Community Development in Sharjah has launched the Economic Survey Project, which is being implemented for the first time in the emirate. It covers all administrative areas in the Emirate of Sharjah, Eastern and Central Region, in addition to free zones to collect data on the characteristics and components of economic institutions and companies in the public and private sectors, Which engage in non-profit economic activity.
The statistical data provided by the survey will contribute to clarifying the reality and performance of the emirate’s economy and meeting the needs of the workers in various areas of planning, development policies and decision-making on national economic issues.
As well as its importance in the issuance of official investment indicators and knowledge of the growth rates of economic activities in the Emirate of Sharjah and its contribution to the growth of national output.
The implementation of the survey is based on sending messages to all companies in the Emirate, including an electronic link that contains a customized form for all the data to be obtained, as well as visits by researchers to the facilities.
