Dubai Islamic opens 17 new mosques during the third quarter of 2022

The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai opened 17 new mosques by the end of the third quarter of 2022, where the capacity of the new mosques reached 13,375 worshipers.

Mohammed Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Executive Director of the Mosques Sector in the Department, said that the cost of building these mosques amounted to 109,483 thousand and 803 dirhams, and they were built at the expense of a number of donors from the value of donations to build mosques.

He added that these mosques were distributed according to the highest priority in the regions of the Emirate of Dubai, including real estate development areas, such as the cities and village of Jumeirah Triangle and Liwan, as well as areas that included citizens’ homes such as Al-Bidaa, Hatta, Oud Al Muteena First and Nad Al Sheba Third, and areas that witness a large labor intensity such as residential areas Workers in Al Qusais Fifth Industrial Area and Ras Al Khor Fifth Industrial Area.
