Rail services were severely disrupted again Saturday in Britain due to a strike by rail unions demanding higher wages in light of record inflation.
Only one in five trains in the country runs, and half of the network is closed.
Rail companies have asked passengers not to use the train, unless it is “absolutely necessary”.
It comes after trains were disrupted on Wednesday and a four-union strike on October 1 halted British Rail almost entirely.
About 40,000 members of the RMT union of Network Rail and 15 railway operators will participate in the strike, to demand higher wages and better working conditions.
