Arab Plast 2019 opens with 900 exhibitors

Minister of Infrastructure Development, Dr. Abdullah Bin Mohammed Balheif Al Nuaimi opened today the Arab Plast 2019, the largest exhibition of the plastics, petrochemicals and rubber industry in the Middle East and North Africa region at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center with 900 companies from 32 countries and 14 national pavilions. The exhibition area reached 8 halls.
Dr. Al Nuaimi said that the petrochemicals, plastics and rubber industry is the main driver of the economic growth of any country. The exhibitions, such as Arab Plast, not only provide a strategic platform for participants and visitors to explore the leading solutions and advanced technologies, but also serve as a means to strengthen international partnerships.
Petrochemicals and oil and gas-derived components are used in all kinds of daily products, including packaging, plastics, clothing, detergents, tires and much more. According to a study by the International Energy Agency (IEA), petrochemicals became the biggest engine of global demand for oil in front of cars, planes and trucks, General of Al Fajr Organization of Arab Plast 2019, said that the plastics and petrochemical industry is leading to new trends around the world, including an increasing number of applications in various advanced and clean technologies critical to Sustainable energy systems. In the coming years, the industry will not only be developed for strong growth but will also be one of the leading sectors leading the economy of oil producing countries.
