Two agreements between Jordan and the German Reconstruction Bank for 97 million euros

The Jordanian government has signed two loan agreements with the German Reconstruction Bank for a total of 97 million euros to finance two vital projects in the water sector.
The agreement includes funding for the fourth stage of the project of energy efficiency and renewable energies in the water sector in Jordan worth 60 million euros, in order to provide energy consumption in the water and sanitation sector and reduce the cost of energy to Jordanian water companies.
The project provides additional quantities of water and provides adequate levels of services to the host communities of the Syrian refugees in the province of Irbid and the city of Ramtha in northern Jordan, as well as improving the performance of their water systems to reduce water losses and reduce energy consumption.
The two projects are in place for almost five years, and the financing terms for these two loans will be very easy with a repayment period of 15 years, including a grace period of five years.
