Media In / Amman November 7, 2018
The Jordanian Standards and Metrology Organization has destroyed 250 thousand domestic liquefied gas cylinders that do not comply with the Jordanian technical rules of Indian origin, in order to ensure that they are not entered into the local market and that they are not traded and used by citizens in order to protect the health and safety of the consumer and to avoid any accidents that could have occurred as a result of their use Thus, the Institution for Standards and Metrology (MSF) has completely closed this file.

These cylinders were transported in closed containers with an electronic seal and seal from the Aqaba Special Economic Zone under the supervision of the Standards and Metrology Institution and with the support of the General Security and General Customs Department to one of the iron and steel factories in Amman.

These cylinders were imported from India in 2013 and samples were taken and examined twice inside Jordan and twice outside Jordan. The result of the inspection indicated that these cylinders are dangerous when used and that they are in violation of the Jordanian Technical Standards issued by the Standards and Metrology Institution.
