The meeting of the financial leaders of the Gulf countries and the International Monetary Fund to discuss economic issues

The finance ministers and central bank governors of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries held a joint meeting with the Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva.

The Saudi (Al-Ekhbariya) channel stated today, Monday, that the meeting discussed many issues in the region, most notably the damage to the global economy from the Corona pandemic, and the disruptions in the energy and food markets, in addition to ways to enhance cooperation between the Fund and the Gulf countries.

Earlier today, Riyadh hosted the work of the 117th meeting of the Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
