Automatic replacement of the Emirates ID when submitting a request for the residence data amendment service

The Federal Authority for Identity and Nationality, Customs and Ports Security confirmed that when customers submit a request to amend their residency data, a request to replace the Emirates ID will be generated automatically.

 

 

 

 

The authority made available to customers, through its smart channels via the website and smart application, the service of amending residence data, according to which the incorrectly entered residence data such as “current personal information, profession modification, modification of current passport information, or change of nationality in the event of A new nationality has been obtained.

 

She indicated that customers can request service procedures through several methods, which are the website www.icp.gov.ae, or the UAEICP smart application, by logging in with the digital identity or with the user name, searching for the service to be applied for, and filling out the application data where applicable. Pay service fees, visit customer happiness centers to apply, or visit typing offices approved by the Authority.

 

 

 

 

The “Identity and Nationality” identified 5 documents and papers required to apply for the service, including “a colored personal photo and a copy of the passport of the beneficiary of the service, a request to amend the data signed by the sponsor, and a copy of the Emirates ID card from the front and back.”

 

She added that the application fee for the service of amending residence data amounts to 200 dirhams, which includes 100 dirhams for smart services, 50 dirhams for application fees, 50 dirhams for electronic services and federal authority fees.

 

And she confirmed that the application is rejected electronically after 30 days have passed, in the event that it is returned due to the presence of deficiencies in the data or the failure to complete the required documents, and the application is also rejected if it is returned 3 times, due to the presence of deficiencies in the data or the failure to complete the required documents, and only the issuance fees and financial guarantees are refunded. If any – in case the application is rejected.

 

The authority pointed out that the fees are refunded by credit card within a period not exceeding 6 months from the date of submitting the application, or are refunded by the procedures followed to recover the fees by check or bank transfer – to banks located within the country only – and in a period not exceeding 5 years, indicating that the rules and regulations are subject to change.
