The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) has completed a major milestone in the UAE’s nuclear program by completing the construction work of the building containing the fourth and final plant at the Baraka Nuclear Power Plant in Dhafra, Abu Dhabi. The station.
The facility is considered one of the most modern buildings in the world because of its design, which includes a combination of thick concrete walls and reinforced steel. The building contains a container Nuclear reactor, steam generators and other key components.
The completion of the pipe conveying of the reactor heat exchangers in the reactor container to the steam generators, together with the installation of most of the main components of the reactor containment structure, is the announcement of the completion of the major construction work at the fourth station and an important step towards starting the main tests of the station systems .
The completion of the construction work of the building of the latest building blocks of the Baraka Nuclear Power Plant project marks the completion of the majority of the major construction work in the project and a major achievement in the development of the UAE’s peaceful nuclear program to produce safe, reliable and environmentally friendly energy for the UAE grid.
Eng. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Hammadi, CEO of Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, said: “These achievements highlight the remarkable progress being made both in construction work at the fourth station and in the overall achievement of the project of the Baraka Nuclear Power Plants.
The four stations will provide safe, reliable and environmentally friendly energy to the UAE’s power grid and reduce emissions of up to 21 million tons of carbon dioxide per year
