Jordan: 18% unemployment rate this year

The unemployment rate according to the report of the Department of Statistics during the first quarter of this year was 18.4 percent, an increase of 0.2 percentage points over the same period last year.
The unemployment rate for males in the first quarter of this year was 16 percent compared to 27.8 percent for females. Thus, the unemployment rate for males increased by 1.2 percentage points and the female unemployment rate by 5.2 percentage points compared to 2017.
