The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) reported a rise of $ 17.1 million in foreign remittances by 3 percent to $ 577.2 million (about 409.2 million dinars) from the beginning of this year to the end of February compared with $ 560.4 million for the same period in 2017.
The Bank indicated that the preliminary data indicate that the total remittances of workers increased by 2 percent monthly to reach 269 million dollars in February of this year, compared to the level recorded during the same month last year, amounting to 263.8 million dollars.
