US stocks open higher, supported by Apple

US stocks opened higher on Thursday, boosted by Apple, as investors shrugged off reports last week that Washington was considering a deregulation of Chinese companies.
The Dow Jones industrial average was up 32.08 points, or 0.12 percent, at 26,852.33. The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index was up 5.28 points, or 0.18 percent, at 2,967.07. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 24.46 points, or 0.31 percent, at 7,964.09.
