US stocks open higher

The US stock market opened higher today, weighed by the rise of financial companies, but the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq.
The Dow Jones industrial average was up 96.14 points, or 0.36 percent, to open at 26,987.26.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index was up 7.85 points, or 0.26 percent, at 2,885.47. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 16.45 points, or 0.20 percent, at 8,047.11.
