US stocks open higher

US stocks opened higher on Thursday, as support from hopes for more Chinese stimulus to the slowing economy eased after weak results from JPMorgan. JP Morgan.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was up 4.27 points, or 0.02 percent, at 23,914.11. The S & P 500 index gained 2.49 points, or 0.10 percent, to 2,585.10. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 25.48 points, or 0.37 percent, to close at 6,931.39.
