The UAE provides 41.5% of Japan’s oil imports in November

Japan’s oil imports from the UAE amounted to 32.17 million barrels, or 41.5% of total imports in November 2022, making the UAE the first oil supplier to Japan, according to data from the Natural Resources and Energy Agency of the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

During November, Japan imported 77.53 million barrels, of which the share of Arab oil was (95.4%), or about 74 million barrels, coming from six Arab countries: the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman, according to the data.
