The UAE calls for an end to the continuous threat to the “Korean island”

The United Arab Emirates stressed the need for the residents of the Korean Peninsula not to live under constant threat, in light of missile tests, and stressed the importance of respecting UN Security Council resolutions, and called on North Korea to cooperate with the international community to improve the humanitarian conditions of its people. This came during a meeting of the United Nations Council last night, where it discussed Pyongyang’s recent missile tests. Statement against Pyongyang, China stressed that the Security Council should in particular seek to ease confrontation, reduce tensions and support a political settlement on the Korean Peninsula. On Saturday, North Korea launched four short-range ballistic missiles towards the sea, while two US supersonic B-1B bombers participated in the conclusion of joint air exercises in South Korea, in a show of force, in response to the North Korean missile tests.
