The UAE finances projects in the Comoros with $ 50 million

The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) and the Government of the Comoros signed an agreement on Thursday to provide 184 million dirhams, equivalent to 50 million US dollars, to support the development programs and projects of the Comoros government.
The President of the Republic of the Comoros, Ghazali Othmani, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the sidelines of the visit of the UAE delegation led by Minister of Energy and Industry Suhail Al Mazrouei to Moroni to discuss and enhance bilateral cooperation, especially in the economic, trade and investment fields and development cooperation.
“This grant comes within the framework of the directives of the President of the State, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the support of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the leadership of our leadership to enhance cooperation with the Government of the Comoros. And enable them to achieve economic and social development. ”
The agreement was signed by the Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, Mohammed Saif Al-Suwaidi, and by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr. Mohammed Al-Ameen, in the presence of a number of officials on both sides.
Al Suwaidi explained that the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development will work with the Government of the Comoros to finance a number of development projects in the country within the framework of the grant approved by the Government of Abu Dhabi to improve the economic and social situation and achieve sustainable development in the country.
