The National Academy of Inventors (NAI) and the Association of Intellectual Property Owners (IPO) have announced the top 100 universities in the world to be granted patents in 2021, based on data from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Dr. Ahmed Ali Murad, Associate Deputy for Scientific Research, confirmed that with faculty members and researchers obtaining 33 new patents, the UAE University is the only one in the country among the top 100 universities in the world, based on the number of patents granted, as it was ranked 90 on the list, which confirms its large and continuous role in supporting innovation and enhancing its environment, by providing the required capabilities.
