Dubai, January 29: The Federal Tax Authority launched the “Tax Support” initiative with the aim of enhancing tax awareness among business sectors in the country through direct and continuous communication to increase the level of compliance with tax legislation and procedures.
The first workshop for 2023 was held within the framework of the new “Tax Support” initiative, on January 25 and 25, in cooperation between the Federal Tax Authority and the “On Time Business Solution” Center – Oud Metha – Dubai.
The Authority stated that the activities of the “Tax Support” initiative will continue throughout the current year to include all emirates of the country in cooperation with many centers and concerned authorities in the government and private sectors. Noting that the initiative aims to receive taxpayers to facilitate the process of paying taxes, raise compliance and tax awareness in the country, respond to their inquiries and observations, and direct them to tax guidelines and correct procedures.
The Authority pointed out that during the workshop held at the “On Time Business Solution” Center – Oud Metha – Dubai; The Authority’s team answered all the inquiries of the participating business owners and provided them with knowledge support, to overcome any obstacles they encountered during the electronic procedures of registration, submission of tax returns, payment of amounts due, and recovery of refundable amounts.
She explained that the organization of these meetings takes place in coordination with the concerned authorities and strategic partners of the Federal Tax Authority, who invite business sectors to attend and participate in the activities of the “Tax Support” initiative, noting that out of keenness to expand the scope of the beneficiaries of these seminars, the Authority broadcasts many of these Events via social networking sites.
The Authority called on the business sectors to attend the “Tax Support” initiative to benefit from it and raise any observations or inquiries for the Authority’s team to respond and clarify them, stressing its keenness to coordinate with the federal and local authorities concerned with the application of the tax and to develop cooperation mechanisms to raise awareness among the various groups concerned, and to provide the highest levels of transparency and clarity. Information and its accuracy and dealing with inquiries effectively to raise the level of compliance with tax laws, and avoid violations, as the Authority intensifies its coordination meetings and awareness programs to increase awareness of tax legislation and its executive and supervisory mechanisms, areas of application and facilities provided by the Authority to help taxpayers comply easily without any impact on their activities.
