The UAE chairs the meeting of the Committee for the Implementation and Follow-up of the Arab Free Trade Area in Cairo

The United Arab Emirates chaired the forty-fifth meeting of the Implementation and Follow-up Committee for the Greater Arab Free Trade Area which was held today at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League with the participation of representatives of ministries of economy in the Arab countries.
The meeting, chaired by HE Mohamed Saleh Shalawah, Advisor to the Minister of Economy, lasted for three days. The meeting discussed several important issues, including following up the implementation of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area and activating the principle of transparency in the region.
The meeting will discuss the report of the Federation of Arab Chambers as well as the follow up of the team concerned with the development of the mechanism of trade remedies, as well as the report and recommendations of the panel of experts and specialists in the field of consumer protection.
