The Ministry of Trade and Investment Saudi Arabia has carried out campaigns in all regions of the Kingdom in coordination with the joint security campaigns on shops and warehouses selling tires. The campaigns resulted in the confiscation of 30 thousand used and expired tires, 300 small cranes used for lifting cars and cheating in tires, 60 machines installed and modified air, The closure of 25 warehouses and the destruction of seizures by a specialized company.
The Ministry indicated its intention to continue to address the violations of the Commercial Fraud Control System and to complete the application of legal procedures against them because of the fraud and deception of consumers. The Commercial Fraud Control Law provides penalties of up to three years’ imprisonment, fines of up to one million riyals or both, In two local newspapers at the expense of the violator, deporting the offending workers to their countries and suspending and preventing commercial activity.
