Global Hotel Alliance: The UAE is the third in the world in terms of revenue growth

KnoThe UAE-based Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) revealed that the UAE ranked third in terms of revenue growth for hotels within the alliance during the first half of this year.
According to a statement by the Hotel Association, the five most popular destinations during the first six months of 2023, in terms of total revenue growth in the first half, were Thailand, Spain, the Emirates, the Maldives and Italy, while the United States remained the most important contributing market for international accommodations in terms of stays that contribute to room revenue.
The alliance, the world’s largest alliance of independent hotel brands, reported stronger-than-expected results for the first half of 2023, with loyalty-related room revenue up 122% on the year, at the end of the second quarter.
This growth has been steadily increasing since November 2022, reflecting the continuing appetite for international stays in the Alliance’s diversified portfolio of 800 hotels across 40 brands in 100 countries.

With total first-half revenue exceeding $1.2 billion between July and August on this momentum, showing record-breaking performance potential.
