Aldar and Diamond Developers succeed in selling units of the first phase of the “Sustainable City – Yas Island” project

Abu Dhabi, January 22 / The “Sustainable City – Yas Island” project, launched by Aldar Properties “Aldar” in partnership with “Diamond Developers”, succeeded in selling all residential units of the first phase within only 24 hours of being put up for sale.

The sales value of the first phase of this sustainability-based community amounted to more than one billion dirhams, which prompted the company to offer the rest of the project units for sale, including 352 townhouses and apartments.

The first phase of the project includes the development of 512 housing units, 76% of which were sold to foreigners, 24% of whom live outside the country, which reflects the growing international customer base of Aldar.

And 87% of these properties were sold to first-time buyers from Aldar, indicating the formation of a new customer base seeking to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle.

It was noted that 66% of buyers are under the age of 45, which indicates a strong demand for sustainable properties and communities among new customer segments and the younger generations.

This is the first time that the house launches its sales without the need to use any paper transactions, so that its customers can complete purchases using electronic transactions and a digital signature.

The digital transformation in real estate transactions made possible by the UAE’s recently launched Electronic Transactions and Trust Services Law provides a better and easier experience for customers, enabling them to complete their transactions in an environmentally friendly manner.

The “Sustainable City – Yas Island” was announced in January 2022 during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, and it is the result of a joint venture with “Diamond Developers”, which stands behind the sustainable city brand. Construction of the project will begin in the second quarter of 2023 and from It is expected that the delivery of the first phase will begin during the fourth quarter of 2025.
