Gold prices hit their highest level in more than three weeks as the dollar weakened as investors demand higher risk assets after the US-China “truce” in their trade war.
The spot price of gold rose 0.7 percent to $ 1230.78 an ounce after hitting its highest since November 7 at $ 1231.34 earlier in the session.
US gold futures rose 0.8 percent to $ 1235.2 an ounce.
