Zakat and Saudi Income: 22 violations of the application of value added tax in car workshops

The General Authority for Zakat and Income has announced the seizure of (22) violations of the application of value added tax, in a number of enterprises during its inspection campaign that targeted car workshops and spare parts shops in Riyadh.
The field teams conducted inspection tours that included more than 140 sites for car workshops and spare parts. The violations focused on the non-compliance of the establishment with the use of the approved tax invoices, which include the tax number of the establishment, the non-registration of VAT registration certificate and non-compliance with the collection of the tax.
The General Authority for Zakat and Income has launched several field campaigns targeting a number of sectors in various regions of the Kingdom, since the first day of the application of value added tax, which aims to ensure that the enterprises comply with the executive regulations for value added tax.
The TRA called on all consumers to use the smart phone application for value added tax, which allows consumers to know whether their business is registered in the tax, in addition to allowing the reporting of infringing enterprises through the application or through the website for the application of VAT www.vat.gov.sa), as well as communication with the CITC call center on (19993), in order to protect the consumer and ensure that all establishments comply with the regulations and instructions related to value added tax.
