On Friday, the Saudi Ministry of Commerce confirmed the prohibition of using the state’s flag, emblem, pictures or names of leaders on commercial products.
A statement issued by the ministry stated that it “confirms that it has prohibited individuals and commercial establishments from using the kingdom’s flag, which includes the word of majesty, the word of unification, the state emblem (the two swords and the palm tree), pictures of the leadership and officials and their names in commercial dealings, including publications, goods and products, media bulletins, special gifts and others.”
