The Ajman Executive Committee reviews the growth rates of new licenses

The Permanent Committee for Economic Development of the Executive Council in Ajman has reviewed the report of the movement of licenses for the first half of 2019 issued by the Department of Economic Development in Ajman, where the report revealed a continuous increase in the annual growth rates of new licenses to reach during the first half of 2019 to 7.9% The number of renewed licenses for the first half of 2019 increased at an annual growth rate of 4.8% compared to the same period in 2018.
This came during the Committee held its tenth session for the current year, chaired by HE Eng. Abdullah Al-Muwaiji, Chairman of the Committee, to discuss ways of progress and the latest developments in the work of the Committee.
The committee also reviewed the monthly development of the number of licenses issued within 15 minutes.
The report reviewed the role of the Department of Economic Development in supporting growth, encouraging investment, enhancing the business environment and enhancing trade control and protection through a range of initiatives and projects that stimulate the business community.
The report recommended the development and implementation of a comprehensive public-private partnership policy as well as a detailed study on the provision of infrastructure for high-value-added high-tech activities through the establishment of a specialized technology zone.
The attendees stressed the need to activate the field work teams to communicate with the owners of companies and factories and the importance of coordination between the concerned parties in the economic affairs in the Emirate, and to see the proposals and views of traders and owners of institutions operating in Ajman.
The session recommended the necessity of conducting field studies and opinion polls and raising its outputs to decision makers, with the need to join efforts between the economic entities in Ajman to highlight the economic components of the Emirate of Ajman and promote them in local and international forums.
