“Finance” organizes a workshop on Federal Law Decree No. 15 of 2018

The Ministry of Finance organized a briefing workshop on Federal Law Decree No. 15 of 2018 regarding the collection of revenues and public funds for the federal authorities in the State with a view to its effective implementation by all relevant authorities.
The workshop was attended by the Director of Public Revenue Department at the Ministry of Finance and attended by the directors of the financial departments, the internal audit offices, the legal departments and the accountants of revenues in the federal authorities in the country.
Saeed Rashid Al-Yateem, Assistant Undersecretary for the Resources and Budget Sector at the Ministry of Finance, stressed the importance of holding this awareness workshop to raise the level of awareness among the federal authorities about Decree Law No. 15 of 2018 and mechanisms for collecting revenues and public funds. Which established legal mechanisms that allow for direct enforcement actions, including the possibility of holding movable and immovable property belonging to debtors on the basis of reasons determined by law.
The Ministry of Finance is committed to ensuring the development and stability of the financial resources of the Federal Government, which represents one of the most important strategic objectives that lead to the sustainability of resources. The Ministry is keen to work and coordinate with all relevant federal authorities to strengthen the federal revenue collection frameworks and to develop procedures to improve the mechanisms of collection and The dates provided by law in accordance with the legislation in force in this regard, which enhance the sustainability of financial resources and raise the performance of the public treasury of the state and protect the public funds owned by the state.
The workshop reviewed the concept of revenues, public funds, debt, creditor and debtor, and the definition of a law decree. The objectives of the law are to establish legal mechanisms to collect and collect federal revenues to protect public funds and to develop procedures to speed up implementation, which will in turn protect public funds owned by the state.
During the workshop, the various types of debts and objectives to be achieved by the Decree-Law were presented, along with a detailed overview of the provisions contained in the Decree-Law, the framework of the organizational unit concerned with the collection of debts and their functions, and the procedures required by the federal authorities to collect debts and receivables required by the State.
