Human resources: 57.3% of the total national cadres working in the private sector are female

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced that the percentage of female citizens working in private sector institutions and companies registered with the ministry is about 57.3% of the total national cadres working in this sector.
Dr. Omar Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Assistant Emiratisation for Communication and International Relations, said that about 33 percent of the total number of working women in the private sector work in the highest skill levels, pointing out that the majority of working women in the private sector institutions work in various vital economic activities in the sectors. Finance, banking, tourism, retail, education, business services, health and other economic sectors, which confirms their ability to fill those jobs with different skills and experience.
Al Naimi stressed that the high indicators of participation of Emirati women in the national economic activity and their occupation of many different jobs confirms the success of the policies and initiatives implemented by the State in this regard, which aimed at empowering Emirati women in addition to achieving a balance between them and men in the labor market.
Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Leader of the Family Development Foundation, led the Emirati Women Leadership and Empowerment Project, which has achieved many achievements over the past years and has become an active partner in the sustainable development process witnessed by the State.
He pointed out that in light of the UAE’s celebration of the UAE Women’s Day, we should all be proud of the distinguished achievements and achievements of Emirati women, which were preceded by many women in the world within the framework of the national development project aimed at empowering women in all fields, including the economic field. All levels to play their natural role as an active partner in society.
Al Naimi explained that the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, in cooperation with its strategic partners in government and private sectors and relevant economic sectors, is empowering Emirati women through the implementation of several specific initiatives and programs aimed at enhancing their participation in the private sector labor market.
Al Nuaimi added that the ministry is implementing a package of qualitative initiatives to support Emirati women, including the “Telework” initiative, which aims to create more job opportunities for women citizens with a new system that does not require them to move daily to the workplace, which would achieve a balance between the work of women and their family life. This motivates them to take up jobs in the private sector.
It is noteworthy that the system of “telework” is based on the partnership between the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the private sector through the conclusion of agreements between the two sides under which the Ministry to provide fully-equipped telework workplaces as well as organizing open days for the employment of female citizens in accordance with the said system which allows citizens living in Places far from the cities work in the centers referred to, which avoids the trouble of coming and going to and from the companies they work for, especially the major ones based in cities.
