The Public Prosecution Office of the State clarifies the penalty for removing or destroying seals

The State Public Prosecution clarified, through a tweet published yesterday, on its accounts on social media, the penalty for removing or destroying seals placed on the order of the judicial authority or administrative authorities on a shop, papers or other things.

The Public Prosecution indicated that according to Article 326 of Federal Decree-Law No. 31 of 2021 promulgating the Crimes and Penalties Law, it is punishable by imprisonment for a period not exceeding one year and a fine not exceeding (10,000) ten thousand dirhams, or by one of these two penalties whoever removes or disperses or destroys one of the seals placed, based on an order from the judicial authority or the administrative authorities, on a shop, papers or other things, or misses by any means the purpose of placing this seal.
