The General Authority for Military Industries in the Eastern Region organized a workshop with the participation and attendance of local and interested manufacturers within the strategy of the military industries sector in the Kingdom, under the title “Military Industries Sector”, at the headquarters of the Eastern Chamber.
The workshop witnessed the participation and attendance of a large number of local manufacturers, investors and those interested in the military industry sector and development, where they reviewed the most important roles and tasks performed by the Authority, and procedures for issuing licenses and licenses of military industries and services and types, in addition to reviewing the main features of the strategy of the General Authority for Military Industries aimed at achieving National priorities.
The Deputy Governor of the Military Industries Authority of the Military Industries Sector, Eng. Licenses to provide military services, and licenses for the supply of military products or services, as well as the attendees on the industrial participation program, and review the strategy and approach of the Authority in the military industries sector in the Kingdom.
For his part, Al-Maimani stressed that the series of workshops held in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam are the first events in which the Authority aims to engage local manufacturers, investors and those interested in the important opportunities offered by the military industries sector in the Kingdom.
He added: The General Authority for Military Industries seeks to establish its presence at the national level and highlight its efforts to achieve the aspirations of the leadership with regard to the development of the military industries sector in the Kingdom to contribute to the diversification of the national economy and achieve the objectives of the Vision 2030.
The meeting concluded with a panel discussion in which participants exchanged many inquiries which were answered by the TRA team in addition to presenting a number of ideas and suggestions on the best ways and means to enable the TRA to implement its vision and achieve its objectives in the short and long term.
The General Authority for Military Industries seeks to develop industries, research, technology and national competencies and promote exports within the military industries sector, through long-term planning of military procurement with the aim of increasing the direct contribution of the military industries sector to the GDP by 2030, which contributes to the realization of the vision of the Authority to localize half Military spending of the Kingdom, and diversification of the resources of the national economy.
