The United States congratulates the UAE on the 51st Union Day

The United States of America congratulated the United Arab Emirates on the occasion of the fifty-first Union Day, wishing it continued peace and prosperity.

In a statement issued by Anthony J. Blinken, US Secretary of State, on this occasion, conveyed the sincere wishes of his country’s government to the people of the UAE on the occasion of the celebration of the 51st Union Day, and said: “Our partnership is strong, represented by our forces that served together to defend our common security, as well as in the tens of thousands of Emiratis who studied at American universities, and senior Businessmen from every country who work together to seize exceptional and wonderful economic opportunities.

The statement noted the wide-ranging cooperation between the governments of the United States and the United Arab Emirates, and commended the UAE for signing the Abraham Accords for Peace. Achieving aspirations towards greater regional integration in the Middle East and beyond.

The US Secretary of State’s statement expressed hope for a lasting peace and appreciated the efforts made by the UAE to this end.

Secretary Blinken emphasized that the two countries continue to strengthen their joint efforts to combat climate change, including through the historic launch of the UAE-US strategic partnership in the field of clean energy, and pledged that the US would continue to support the UAE’s efforts in the field of climate during its hosting of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention COP28.
