Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry will hold the 6th GCC Human Resources and Labor Market Conference under the slogan “The Gulf Labor Market in the Growing of the Digital Economy” on 14 and 15 October under the patronage of HH Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.
The conference is the largest forum of its kind for the private sector in the region, organized by the Chamber in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the Federation of Gulf Chambers and the Arab Labor Organization, to cope with the global transformations in the fields of digital economy, through mobilizing capabilities and expertise and activating joint Gulf cooperation to achieve a set of objectives. The event will discuss the challenges and opportunities of Gulf Emiratisation and the future of entrepreneurship in the digital economy environment, as well as ways and means to benefit from the graduation projects for employees of academic institutions, in addition to identifying ways and areas to support Gulf employment from knowledge economy markets.
The Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that the UAE’s experience in empowering its human capital is appreciated by the whole world. It does not stand idly by about the rapid global changes in various fields, but strives to keep pace with them and to be one of its makers. The theme of this year’s conference was to discuss the digital economy, which is one of the most important economies that are witnessing rapid growth globally, stressing that the UAE has become at the forefront of countries that invest in modernizing and developing the infrastructure of the digital economy, in the belief of our wise leadership in the importance of strengthening its role in The state of the national economy system by emphasizing the role of young people in shaping the digital age of the UAE economy, relying on their creativity in the field of technology and the digital world, including them in the first place in the e-commerce and the digital economy in the region.
