“EDGE” signs a contract worth one billion euros with the Angolan Navy

The contract involves the construction of state-of-the-art frigates by Abu Dhabi Ship Building, the marine arm of the Edge Group.

Abu Dhabi, February 20 / The Edge Group signed today a contract worth one billion euros, according to which the leading shipbuilding company, Abu Dhabi Ship Building, will build a fleet of advanced frigates with a length of 71 meters for the Angolan Navy. Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center “ADNEC”.
The BR71 MKII frigate is a highly advanced ship equipped with modern mission systems including 3D radar, electronic warfare suite, secure communications, main gun and surface-to-surface and surface-to-air missile systems.
