A researcher from the UAE University discovers a new type of crustacean in the country

Master’s student Shamma Issa Al Neyadi in the Department of Environmental Biology at the College of Science at the UAE University managed to draw a scientific roadmap that enabled her, along with a team of researchers and scientists at the university, and international scientific research centers, most notably the “Russian Academy of Sciences” in Moscow, to achieve a scientific achievement in discovering a new species. Of the crustaceans “Crustacera / Cladocera” in a number of areas after a field research in the Al Shuwaib Dam area in the United Arab Emirates, in an extension that reflects the great interest in the issue of biodiversity and the preservation and development of wildlife in the country.
