Pakistan and Iran decide to speed up the implementation of the Free Trade Agreement

Pakistan and Iran decided to finalize the free trade agreement for its speedy implementation, in order to benefit from the huge potential in the fields of trade and investment.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the implementation of the free trade agreement will also contribute to enhancing the volume of trade exchange between the two neighboring countries.
He said this during his meeting today with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, following their inauguration of the joint border market at the “Mand-Bishin” border crossing between Pakistan and Iran in Baluchistan province.
Sharif said, according to the Pakistan News Agency, that the two countries agreed to move forward in the fields of trade, investment, information technology, agriculture and other sectors, in addition to benefiting from the potential for cooperation in the field of energy and solar energy.
He indicated that he had submitted proposals to President Ebrahim Raisi regarding the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
