In order to preserve public places and reduce the phenomenon of random construction in residential neighborhoods within Abu Dhabi Island, the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, through the City Municipality Center, implemented a field campaign that lasted for five days, targeting owners and tenants in areas located within the geographical scope of the center, to monitor construction and internal works violations. (partitions) or outside without a building permit and not in conformity with the permit.
During the campaign, the municipality inspectors carried out field visits to the various areas on Abu Dhabi Island to monitor the signs of the partitions and construction of the units that were implemented inside or outside the building in violation of the licenses granted, and to take measures according to the regulations of the Building Regulation Law, as such unlicensed units cause an increase in population density. Unjustified, it also distorts the general cultural appearance in the city and affects the environment, health and public safety.
The aim of monitoring such violations is to address the phenomenon of indiscriminate construction, which is defined as building a group of small rooms that are not licensed by the municipality, exploiting illegal housing for the purpose of profit, as well as violating security and safety procedures, prevailing customs and public taste, and contradicting the principles of public morals, to provide a living environment Clean, sustainable and free from distortions.
