Based on its keenness to increase the agricultural area, and to enhance the assets of natural beautification, the Abu Dhabi City Municipality is working, through the city’s municipality center, to plant 10 thousand flowering and fruitful trees in the central islands and the edges of the main roads within Abu Dhabi Island.
The municipality is working on planting thousands of flowering and fruitful trees, within the scope of works, with the aim of increasing the green area, preserving the civilized and aesthetic appearance of the city of Abu Dhabi, and planting the places of trees that have been moved to other suitable areas, in order to preserve the safety of road users in the city.
The municipality indicated that it has now completed planting 5,000 flowering and fruitful trees, representing 50% of the target plan, and it is scheduled to finish planting the rest of the trees and cover all the main streets inside the island during 2023.
The municipality stated that the trees were planted according to the general scheme of the color map that defines the types and colors of fruitful and flowering trees, to standardize the color identity of each street. Soil and ornamental shrubs such as Roelia, Delia, and Sisyphium.
