The campaign comes within the framework of the municipality’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the owners of estates and farms in order to protect the environment, and to ensure their compliance with the requirements regarding the uses of farms and estates and not to use them in violation of the law, which puts them under legal accountability. sustainable.
The specialized teams, which conducted field visits to a number of farms and estates, were keen to educate their owners and operators about the procedures and permits for estates, and to assure them not to throw waste randomly in the desert, and the need to dispose of it in safe and environmentally friendly ways, and transfer it to landfills designated for this purpose.
The campaign clarified the procedures for disposing of dead animals, stressing that throwing dead animals indiscriminately harms the environment, and is an environmental and health violation for which the law is held accountable.
The campaign also urged the importance of carrying out maintenance and general cleaning operations for all estates and farms on a regular basis.
It is worth noting that the field inspection, monitoring and awareness campaign accompanied and coincided with an electronic awareness campaign through social networking sites and the municipality’s digital platforms aimed at raising the level of awareness of the owners of estates and farms of the laws related to the operation of these facilities.
