Muscat Media In: The Oman Investment Authority announced the start of opening 10 projects on the occasion of the National Day, with a value of 750 million Omani riyals in a number of governorates. Hisham bin Ahmed Al Shidi, Director General of Economic Diversity Investments at the Oman Investment Authority, said that the 10 projects embody the authority’s strategy and goals, which are in line with the “Oman Vision 2040” and focus on eight priorities, including financial sustainability, growth in selected sectors, contribution to the gross domestic product and attracting investors. The opening will start with the “Sanvira Carbon” project in the Sahara region, the Omani mills project and the grain storage silos project in Sohar Industrial Port, which was implemented with a value of OMR 21 million and a storage capacity of 160,000 tons, in addition to Salalah Aluminum, which was implemented at a cost of OMR 178 million.
