The Beirut Stock Exchange is in a state of stagnation

Trading on the Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE) returned to a recession this week. The number of shares traded on the bourse stood at 588,159 shares, compared to 736,171 shares last week.
According to the stock market statistics published in Beirut today, the trading value of shares exceeded 5 million and 580 thousand dollars, compared to 6 million and 1000 dollars last week. The shares of banking sector dominated 99.94% of the total number of shares traded.
In parallel, the daily average number of traded shares decreased slightly to 918,000 and 31 shares this week, from 934,292 shares the week before.
