Inflation in Egypt fell to 12.5% in April

Egypt’s annual inflation rate fell to 12.5% in April, compared to the corresponding month of 2018, which recorded 12.9%, according to the monthly statement on consumer prices released today by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics.
The statement pointed out that the rate of inflation during the period from January to April of this year was 13.10%, indicating that the rate of inflation in urban increased by about 0.5% compared to the previous month and in the countryside rose by about 0.2%.
